Fusion Venue Drogheda

Good People, Good Beers and Damn Good Music

Fusion Nightclub

Fusion Venue Drogheda is made up of three distinct spaces, each with its own character, music style, and atmosphere, giving people different ways to experience a night out in the same building.

The Piano Bar leans into a more underground music scene, focusing on genres like House, Techno, and Garage. It regularly hosts both guest and resident DJs, and the space itself has a raw, grungy feel, with graffiti artwork from local artists covering the walls. It’s very much geared toward people who are there for the music and the atmosphere that comes with it.

The main venue is the busiest and most energetic part of the building, catering to a broad mix of ages. The music is more familiar, with a mix of throwbacks, current chart hits, and event-driven playlists. It’s also where the bigger nights happen, including occasions like Leaving Cert Results Night, Halloween, and Christmas, so it tends to draw larger crowds and a more mainstream audience.

The Cross offers a slower, more relaxed pace. The space incorporates elements from an old church, including stained glass, repurposed Stations of the Cross, and old confessional booths, which gives it a very distinctive feel. The music here is more varied and laid-back, with alternative tracks, older music, and regular events like Sunday bingo, making it a comfortable spot for people who want something less intense.

Role & Responsibilities

During my work with Fusion Venue Drogheda, I was responsible for planning and managing both weekly and annual content across their events calendar. This involved organising content around promotions, key nights and seasonal events, helping to increase overall reach by over 30% and views by more than 40%.

I developed visual content from concept through to final design, creating media that was tailored to the venue’s audience and different spaces within Fusion. The focus was on producing clear, engaging visuals that reflected the tone of each night and space, while maintaining consistency across platforms.

I worked closely with the creative lead throughout, taking direction and feedback to ensure all content stayed aligned with the brand and was appropriate for the venue’s identity and audience.

The Work

I also worked on developing and refining event-specific campaigns throughout the year, including key nights such as Summer Party, Leaving Cert Results Night, and the Halloween Party. Each event required its own visual identity, so I iterated on designs to suit different themes and audiences, while still keeping everything recognisably part of the Fusion brand. This often came with multiple redesigns and change of concepts, a challenging but skill developing piece of work.

This involved testing different layouts, imagery, and styles, adapting content based on what worked best for engagement and clarity based on the target audience. Some events called for brighter, more energetic visuals, while others leaned into darker or more stylised themes, depending on the atmosphere being created.
